My Journey in Design

I’m Cristina Lugo, a textile designer living in Montreal. I studied Textile Design with a focus on interiors in Mexico City, where I grew up. Soon after graduating, I co-founded a design studio with my university friends, where we collaborated closely with textile companies to create custom pattern collections, as well as designs for ceramics and dinnerware sets that were hand-painted by local artisans, a process that deepened my love for craftsmanship and collaboration.
In search of new experiences and with a desire to keep learning, I moved to Toronto, where I began working as a freelance designer and eventually joined a company creating prints for the home textile industry. After my two daughters were born, my family settled in Montreal. Here I decided to found my own design studio, a long-held dream that now allows me to create with both freedom and intention.

My Work Now

Now, with many years of experience behind me and a passion for art, interiors, and pattern that continues to grow, I design from my home studio with the intention to craft artwork that brings warmth, beauty, and harmony to everyday spaces.
